Save Energy - Reduce Generation

EnSAv (Energy Saving Awarness) Club focuses on bringing about a first-hand realization of the energy crisis and scarcity of natural resources in the country. With the increasing demand for energy, effective management and conservation of the same has become the need of the hour. Recognizing the immense value the Professional Students can bring to the initiative and taking due consideration of this urgent need, GREEN9 started Energy Saving Awarness Club (EnSAv Club), to propagate efficient usage of energy and to educate the society on climate change issues in the forecoming years.

Energy Saving Awarness Club allows the student to showcase their talents and concern towards energy conservations and importance of implementing renewable sources. As students, parent and teachers are being sensitized towards “energy conservations” issues that confront each one of us , today. Students undertake various activities and present their ideas to conserve energy, as we all know “energy can neither be created, nor be destroyed”

Club was launched, with a motive to engage students, the future of our country, increasing awareness and taking their first steps in Energy Conservation. The program however, was never meant to stay in this narrow space, but to widen the horizon and enable a child to take necessary steps in his/her individual capacity to be better and responsible citizens of the world. Today, along with energy conservation, we are sensitizing students about resource scarcity, and effects of CO2 emissions.

We are also in the process of piloting a civic and moral values program for values are the foundations that make responsible citizens.

To provide awareness on the importance of renewable energy usage in the present environment through public awareness talk

To promote the motto “one unit saved is equal to two unit generated”
To conduct energy related survey for effective management
To publicize the concluded project outcome in indexed journals

Procedure to Progress the Green9 EnSAv Club

EnSAv CLUB - Energy Saving in Residential House through "SAVE ONE UNIT / DAY" Version 1.0 Awarness Poster

GREEN9 started Energy Saving Awareness Club (EnSAv Club), to propagate efficient usage of energy and to educate the society on climate change issues in the fore coming years. Team  EnSAv Club drafted nine point idea in the year 2016 to save one unit per day in the residential houses after several case studies. This idea was implemented for selected various category 50 customers and obtained good result for 40 houses where the consumption per month is more than 300 units. The team also received various suggestions to upgrade the 9 point idea. The Version 1.0 of the save one unit per day poster was released by the Chairman of The Institution of Engineers (India) on September 15th , 2017 at the TNSC Office during the Engineers day celebration.

As dated sixth May 2018, the club members in the six engineering colleges created awareness presentation with 1500 residents with family, in which 900 families accepted to follow our idea for implementation. We recommend all the members who are reading this article to circulate the “One Unit Save Poster” to your friends and ask them to implement for saving energy.

Our initiative was appreciated by Nammalmudiyum and Awarness by Puthiyathalaimurai TV and telecasted on 21st April 2018.
